I was born in San Diego, California at 5:02pm to a loving couple named Martha and Abel. We lived in a small house in El Cajon for my first few months until my parents decided that our home was just too little for our growing family. Thus, we moved to a city called Escondido where we lived until I was eight years old. Just before my fourth grade year began, our trio moved up to Temecula, California. This city is often referred to as Wine Country. It was in this safe haven where I spent my next twelve years learning and growing and becoming the person I am today.
Who serves as a model for you of someone who lives life with great passion and personal responsibility?
I would say my grandfather is a spectacular model of having a strong passion for life. As an naturalized immigrant, he has lived through so much change and faced years of hardship. Regardless of his struggles, he persisted. At 83, he's completely independent at after recently losing his wife of 45 years. He attends church every Sunday, goes out with his friends weekly, and takes time to lose money at the local casinos. He lives each day like it's his last and continues to have a positive outlook on life.

Tell me where you're going
As of now, my future is filled with unknowns. My short term goal is to graduate from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I also plan on pursuing a minor in Spanish. With further information I would like to potentially double major in Accounting and Business. Although, while I do love USC, I do not want to be here for the majority of my twenties. Thus, I plan to graduate within the next three years. Whatever I can get done in that time, is what I will do. After graduate, I hope to attain a position with an entertainment company like Warner Brothers or Paramount Pictures in the marketing department.
Tell me how you plan to get there
As a transfer student, I'm still learning the ins-and-outs of USC. That said, my first task is to meet with an advisor. After that I will declare my minor in Spanish. Within the next year I hope to earn an internship with Warner Brothers in the publicity branch which will hopefully lead to a formal job offer in the future.
How are you LIKE your parents?
I am frequently told that I look just like my parents, that I am the perfect blend of the two. As an only child, I have had two main role models in my life: my mom and my dad. As such, my personality exhibits many of the same traits as theirs. I'm generous, logical, ambitious, and charismatic. I've been known to crack a joke here and there, and I've also inherited their travel-bug. There's a lot of places I've been in the world, but there is no place like home with parents.
How are you UNLIKE your parents?
We have grown up in a different world than that of our parents. I see the world from the view of a young millennial which means I'm usually looking at a computer screen. I feel the need to live my life at a faster pace. I don't like slow walkers, I hate waiting over two minutes, and I have to drive at least 10ish miles above the speed limit. I'm also more uptight--their words, not mine--than my parents, but at the same time I'm fine with just chilling at my house for a day to detox and relax.
Have you developed your own expectations for yourself, or if you were honest, would you say you're operating under someone else's expectations?
Since I was little my parents had a set of expectations that I had to meet. In the beginning, they were tiresome and I didn't understand why the things they would drone on about were so important. As years went by, I began to realize that when someone else expects the best from me, I should expect nothing but outstanding results from myself. I don't want to just meet expectations, I want to exceed expectations.
Connecting with the ANIMAL WORLD: What wild animal do you feel a special connection with, and why?
Wild animals are graceful creatures. They are independent and cunning. I am clumsy, semi-independent and relatively savvy. I connect more to a household pet, but if I had to chose a wild animal I would relate most to a wolf. Wolves travel in packs, but are self-sufficient. They are loyal, fierce and clever. All traits that I like to think I possess. Plus, a (dire)wolf is a symbol for House Stark on Game of Thrones so that may be that's another reason why I feel a connection to wolves.
Connecting with the NATURE KINGDOMS: Describe a significant childhood encounter with a tree or plant.
Bugs and I do not agree and as such nature, which includes, trees and plants are number one on my list of things to avoid. The first thing that pops into my head is when I went camping with my friend for her birthday in middle school. We climbed up a tree to get a better view of the campsite. Mid-climb, I missed a branch and ended up falling out of the tree. I didn't break any bones, but it did hurt a lot. I haven't gone camping since.

Thanks for reading! See you next time :)
